Employability Skills Programme

The Employability Skills programme which offers a package of tailored provision to participants who find it particularly difficult to get jobs. The programme will offer participants the opportunity to:

  • Increase their employability skills, e.g. CVs, job search, etc
  • Improve their basic skills (inc numeracy & literacy)
  • ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) provision
  • Gain general work related and occupational skills through work experience and training.

Employability Skills programmeThe programme runs for up to 15 weeks (between 16 and 20 hours per week) by our qualified and friendly advisers and is currently being held in centres throughout South Yorkshire.

This Employability Skills Programme is available to all Jobcentre Plus customers claiming benefit or credits aged 18 or over and who have a literacy, language or numeracy need at level 1 or below. We will determine the learner’s level of the needs at initial assessment.
